The pull of chocolate…

Ah chocolate….The year started of fairly ok. I felt good, wanted to eat healthy and stay on track but then came Valentine. Now to be entirely transparant; I do not have anything with Valentine. It’s not that I have a Valentine, care about Valentine or any other such thing. But… my instagram tends to get people to send me things. Lol. I mean brands. Not actual men.

The pull of chocolate

So what happened is that I received a fair share of chocolate. And I love chocolate so what do you do when you get it? Yes you eat it. I gave away most of it, but you know that little voice in your head that keeps telling you that maybe you should keep some of it yourself? Well that voice was successful. So I kept some of the chocolate and ate all of the chocolate.

Just this week I received a belated birthday gift from my sister with chocolate truffles. Plus a large chocolate Easter egg, because next to Valentine that is the upcoming chocolate filled holiday. And I am weak. O so weak.

Shall I or shall I not?

I had received the egg a few days ago and I had resisted eating it up till yesterday. But it was proudly sitting on my kitchen counter, so everytime I prepared a healthy meal it was eyeing me from across the kitchen. I could almost hear it whisper ‘Eat me, eat me’. So then there was Friday. And for some reason I always feel I can eat a little more in Friday. You know; end of the week. Weekend coming up.

The chocolate egg didn’t survive

Long story short I gobbled up the entire 188 gram of salted caramel chocolate last night. Yep. All of it. I have no self control when it comes to chocolate. So please stop sending me chocolate. I would greatly appreciate it.

Now I don’t believe in restricting yourself of all things that are delicious and fun. That’s not my mantra. But I would like to be able to have some restraint when it comes to eating things like this. It’s just that once the bag of package is open it has to be finished. Eating half an egg? Not gonna happen.

But anyway; it’s the start of the weekend; the egg is gone, so it should be a happy and healthy weekend. I’m all for it. I’ll be sharing my meal plan for next week as well, so stay tuned for that! You can find all old and new meal planning here.
